The Diamondhead Water & Sewer District Sewer Backup Policy can be found Here.
The District recommends each customer contact their homeowner’s insurance company to ask if they have sewer backup coverage within their insurance policy. Sewer backup coverage is a separate “add-on” and not associated with flood coverage.
For some properties located below street level, it is also recommended that the homeowner have a Backwater Valve device installed on the sewer line that exits the home.
